Gym Workout Tracker

A streamlined workout tracker built around progressive overload — the core principle of strength training. Designed to be faster to use mid-set than a notes app, while surfacing the data that actually drives progress.

The Problem

Most gym tracking apps are either too simple (just a notes field) or bloated with social features, AI coaching, and upsells. Serious lifters need fast logging during sets, clear progress visibility, and reliable history — without the noise.

The Solution

A minimal, fast-input workout logger focused on the core loop: log your sets, see your last performance, and track progressive overload over time. Every design decision optimizes for speed-of-use between sets.

Key Features

  • Quick-input set logging with weight, reps, and RPE
  • Automatic previous-session comparison during workouts
  • Progressive overload tracking and volume trends
  • Custom workout templates with exercise ordering
  • Workout history with per-exercise strength curves

My Role

Built as a personal tool that grew from my own frustration with existing trackers. Designed and developed the full app, iterated based on personal use and feedback from training partners.
